Here are 5 tips that can make the personal videos that you send to your customers or prospects better.

Tip # 1: Use your mobile phone for your camera, and put it on landscape mode.

Tip # 2: If you are going to use your mobile phone, holding it up like this is going to create a really shaky shot, which is going to make your audience kind of sick. So I would recommend highly using a tripod. This particular bad boy we bought online for $40 from Amazon. What you'll need is, you'll need an attachment for it, which is I think $7. So the attachment is going to allow you to easily slip on your mobile phone, so whoala!

Tip # 3: When you get your camera set up, just make sure the lighting is right. In this case, I have light coming in from the window at me. The opposite direction doesn't work.

Tip # 4: It's about how you sound on video. Now, I can use my mobile microphone and it sounds pretty good. But, what I've found is that if I use an external microphone, so this is actually a lavaliere that plugs directly into your phone, I have the ability to make it sound even better.

Final Tip is just consider your surroundings. The more interesting your surroundings the more interesting your video message is going to be. One of the things that I try to do as often as possible is to actually create, or have an image behind me, that is relevant to the customers that I'm working with.
